CSBTN 5 b. Confederate General Service Coat Button on old card. This card came out of an old East Tennessee estate and originally had a Georgia and Virginia button attached on either side of the CSA.
It was under this system, with clothing supplied primarily by the various clothing manufactories, and supplemented by state issues, contract clothing and foreign imports, that the Confederate soldier was supplied.
